Crisis Line Equity & Access Project
Through various community engagement opportunities as well as a review of policies and practices, the Project identifies and addresses potential gaps in service awareness, service access, and service appropriateness of crisis lines. Engaging and including individuals with diverse lived experiences, groups who are currently under-represented in service access, as well as partners, volunteers, and staff are core to the path forward.
Building on learnings, Chimo will enhance its organizational and service policies, practices, and trainings to improve the accessibility, appropriateness, and inclusiveness of its crisis lines towards more equitable outcomes for all community members.
This Project is funded by the Public Health Agency of Canada.
