Seniors Program

Welcome to Chimo Seniors Services Program

The Seniors Services Program provides long-term support to vulnerable Richmond seniors, age 55 years and older.

Chimo’s three pillars approach to supporting vulnerable individuals allows the Program to offer seniors a broad range of professional services ranging from access to housing, justice, and crisis care.

Our goal is to encourage seniors to maintain their independence, feel included, safe, and secure as they age gracefully.

Housing

Through local and community resources, we advocate on a one-on-one basis with our in-house Housing Program, provincial housing support to access programs and services for vulnerable seniors.

Justice

The Seniors Services Program also has access to our in-house professional counseling and legal departments. In an effort to assist, vulnerable seniors to overcome numerous crises such as elder abuse, sexual assault, ageism, suicide, and violence, Chimo designed programs and services with these
individuals in mind.

Crisis Line

Professionally trained volunteers, provide confidential and non-judgmental support seven days a week to callers with mental health challenges. Our seniors have full access to the Chimo live chat.
